Getting Started
Castlot is a great game. I found it far more enjoyable than Evony. It's more than just because it's a techncial upgrade from Evony which is now years old and past it's prime but also the community and players themselves are different. In other words, Castlot doesn't seem to have the abusive little punks that Evony was famous for.
Sure Castlot still has battles between kingdoms but it's not like how Evony was. There aren't people out there hitting you just to be a jerk.
Anyway enough about Evony. This site is about Castlot. The game as I said before is great but the one thing it really lacks is help in how to play the game itself. That is why I created this blog, so make posts about little tips and tricks I have found.
When you first start playing the game you have to pick between the two factions, light or dark. Truth is it doesn't matter which faction you pick because in the end it is every man for himself, like with all games of this kind.
Once you pick a faction and begin playing the game you will want to level up. To do this you need to follow the quests. It's very simple, read what the quest says to do and do it. When you aren't doing quests you need to get out there and EXPLORE.
That is going to be where you get upgraded armor and the much desired cross medals to get your promotions to knight, baron and so on, but I'll go into each of these topics more later on.
For now get building and have fun!
